Hourly Substitutes for Långholmens Folk High School Långholmens Folk High School is seeking several hourly substitutes to work with us as needed. We are looking for someone who can step in to teach on short notice, for example in cases of illness, as well as for planned needs where we can offer work with longer notice. About the Position As an hourly substitute, you will teach in one of the school's courses when regular teachers are absent or when we need to strengthen instruction for other reasons. Needs vary. Sometimes we can offer work that is planned well in advance, for example in connection with training programs, time off, or other planned activities. In cases of illness, however, we may need to contact you in the morning for work the same day. We are therefore seeking several people with different subject expertise and different availability. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for you with knowledge and experience that enables you to teach adults in one or more subject areas. In your application, we would like you to clearly describe: which subjects you can teach at what levels you can teach, for example primary school and/or upper secondary school level your education and previous teaching experience if you have experience in folk high schools, adult education, or other educational formats to what extent you typically have the opportunity to work and whether you can be available on short notice. Teacher education and teaching experience are merits, but we are also interested in people with other relevant knowledge and experience. Experience teaching participants with different educational backgrounds and different support needs is especially valuable. About Långholmens Folk High School Långholmens Folk High School is a small daytime folk high school centrally located in Sundbyberg, near Marabouparken. We offer a varied selection of courses including general courses, specialized courses, and distance courses. In our general courses, participants study, among other things, to complete their primary or upper secondary education and gain eligibility for further studies. Teaching is characterized by the folk high school's approach, where participants' experiences, collaborative learning, and active participation are important elements. The school is a small unit with short decision-making paths and close collaboration among colleagues. We want our substitutes to feel welcome and have good conditions to enter into teaching.
