JOB DUTIES
As a hourly substitute teacher, you work where needed for the day. Assignments vary depending on the activity, age groups, and your qualifications.
The work may involve:
• leading or supporting instruction in classes or smaller groups
• working in after-school care with activities, safety, and social development
• helping individual children or student groups during the day
• participating in recess activities, meals, and outdoor time
• contributing to safety, structure, and a productive work environment
No two days are the same, and it is this variety that makes the job both developmental and enjoyable.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and young people and wants to contribute to a safe, educational, and positive environment in our activities.
Education in child and youth programs, teacher education, preschool teacher education, or other relevant education is advantageous, as is experience working in preschool, after-school care, or school. You are also very welcome to apply if you are a qualified or unqualified teacher, are studying pedagogy, or have other experience working with children and young people.
However, what is most important to us is that you:
• are at least 18 years old
• have a good demeanor and build secure relationships
• are responsible, flexible, and cooperative
• can adapt to different activities and situations
• have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
• can respond with short notice when needed
• experience from preschool, after-school care, primary school, or adapted primary school is advantageous.
Please attach grades, diplomas, childcare education certificates, preschool teacher licenses, and/or teaching licenses if you have them.
Salary form: Hourly wage.
Employment form: Fixed-term contract.
