About the Staffing Unit Lerum Municipality's Staffing Unit employs substitute teachers for work when regular staff are absent. This can be absence during both shorter and longer periods. As a substitute teacher, you are employed on an intermittent basis and receive work assignment inquiries on an ongoing basis. Inquiries may come the same day or with longer notice. Through a digital booking system, you indicate your availability and can express interest in work assignments. As a substitute teacher, work assignments can vary from day to day, and you may work in different schools throughout the municipality. Working hours are daytime on weekdays. 20 position(s). WORK DUTIES You are a trustworthy and positive role model for our students and support them in both their learning and social development. You act with calm, responsibility, and judgment even in challenging situations, and show the way by being stable, clear, and consistent in your interactions. By being actively present, you guide and motivate students in their schoolwork, participate in their activities, and contribute to a safe and structured environment. You help create study conditions, set clear boundaries, and build good relationships through interaction in the classroom and during other parts of the school day. The work is varied and involves significant responsibility and independence. Examples of work tasks: • Lead lessons and manage classroom work based on regular staff's planning • Serve as an extra resource in the classroom and support the teacher in daily work • Assist individual students with tasks and needs that arise • Be present during breaks to contribute to safety and good relationships • Work in after-school activities QUALIFICATIONS Who are you? We are looking for someone who finds it easy to make social connections and can quickly build trust with students. You take responsibility, show initiative, and are confident working independently. You have a good ability to structure your work and drive it forward, while being responsive, attentive, and enjoying collaboration in a team. You are a person who can quickly familiarize yourself with new student groups, routines, and plans, and independently handle situations that arise during the school day. Educational background and experience The position requires a high school diploma. Experience from working in primary school, service positions, or work where you support or help other people is a merit. We place great importance on personal suitability.
