We are now recruiting temporary staff for our Staffing Unit within the Department of Function Support, in the city areas of Southwest (Askim, Frölunda, Högsbo, western Gothenburg, Styrsö) and Northeast (Angered, Bergsjön, Gamlestaden, Kortedala). Within function support, you work with everything from home care to supporting individuals at their workplaces, in leisure activities, or in creative environments such as theater and music. Daily support is the foundation – but needs vary. Regardless of assignment, the goal is always the same: to strengthen people's independence and quality of life. What is a functional disability? A functional disability is a reduced physical, mental, or intellectual capacity. It can be congenital or develop later in life and can be visible or invisible. Every person is unique – with their own abilities, needs, and strengths – and that is what makes this work both meaningful and developmental. Our operations We are recruiting for several operations within function support: - Housing with special services (BmSS) – 24-hour operations. - Daily activities – habilitative and work-oriented activities during daytime. - Residential support – support in users' home environment, primarily daytime but also evenings and weekends. - Short-term housing for adults – limited-time support and care for adult users. Placement is made according to the operations' needs and your previous experience. Job duties The work varies depending on the operation, but may include: - Pedagogical support in daily life - Personal care - Cooking, laundry, and other daily chores - Activities and social support - Documentation and medication management according to delegation Challenging and self-injurious behaviors may occur at some of our operations. Temporary employment: As temporary staff, you work as needed and enter your own availability. Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, and night shifts depending on the operation. Qualifications You must be at least 18 years old, in accordance with regulations on minors' work environment AFS 2023:2 chapter 6, sections 5, 6, and 8 regarding solo work. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires you to have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the qualifications in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test administrator Educateit. It is a merit if you are trained as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or have other education that the employer considers equivalent, or have ongoing education in healthcare and social care, pedagogical or social work. It is also a merit if you have experience working in healthcare and social care, pedagogical or social work.
