JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a childcare worker, you will work in preschool classes, afterschool programs, and youth clubs, substituting for regular staff during their absence. The needs of each unit will determine how much work you will receive, and we cannot therefore guarantee you work every day. You should live within a reasonable distance from Järfälla to be able to reach workplaces within a reasonable time. Operations should be fun, safe, and educational for all children. As a childcare worker, you work to create a safe and secure environment that encourages children to play and learn. In collaboration with the work team, you implement pedagogical activities. You work with all routine situations, such as meals, children's daily hygiene, dressing/undressing, educational play, cleaning, etc. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily looking for you who have childcare worker training. If you also have previous experience working with children in afterschool programs and schools, we consider that a merit. You must enjoy and see it as a challenge to work at new workplaces and collaborate with new colleagues. Since the position requires quickly being able to contribute to good work performance, you must be able to work independently and have the ability to take own initiative. The work requires good social skills and you should be comfortable working outdoors part of the day. Since our staff work Monday through Friday on schedules with working hours between 06:30-17:30, we are looking for you who can work during these hours. You need to be able to work at least five days per month. You must be able to communicate in Swedish in speech and writing. Before any employment, a background check will be conducted. If you are offered employment with us, you are also required by law to provide a criminal record certificate for the employment to proceed. The criminal record certificate is called "Criminal Record Certificate for Preschool/School/School Childcare" and can be ordered on the Police website. Note that the criminal record certificate must be no more than 1 year old from the date of issue. Since we often receive a high number of applicants, it may sometimes take a while before we provide feedback.
