About the Role As a substitute in preschool and school, you replace regular staff during absences – often with short notice the same morning. Assignments vary depending on the facility and may include: Working together with other staff to participate in activities and create a sense of safety in child groups at preschool. Supporting students during the school day and at after-school care in the afternoon. Following lesson plans and delivering instruction in preschool class through grade 9. Regardless of the assignment, you are a present and engaged adult who contributes to children's sense of security and development.
