Substitute teachers needed for classes at Högbergsskolan, Malmenskolan, and Smedenskolan.
About the Position
As a substitute teacher, you will be contacted as needed for short or longer-term absences. You will help contribute to learning for high school students in various courses (such as Swedish, English, history, social studies, mathematics, and more). You will work based on the regular teacher's lesson plans or a substitute folder. You will be welcomed and shown where you need to be for the day and given explanations of what is expected of you. You create a sense of security for students and, according to your ability, support students in their learning and attendance.
Job Description
The position is an hourly substitute teaching contract, and you are paid for the hours you work. Being a substitute teacher can be a good complement if you are studying or perhaps if you are retired but feel you want to continue contributing to students' learning and development. You may be asked if you can substitute the same day or a day before you are needed on site. You are expected to be in the classroom with the teaching group you are substituting for and follow the lesson plan you have been given.
About You
You have relevant qualifications and education, and a commitment to education, learning, and teaching. Either you have previous experience with this, or it is something you feel you want to try. Perhaps you are studying to become a teacher, or are you wondering what you want to study? Maybe you have a sabbatical year or are a retired teacher. Furthermore, you have good digital skills and preferably experience working with different digital platforms. A prerequisite for thriving with us is that you, just as we do, believe that it is possible to create one of Sweden's best schools and workplaces through high quality, participation, safety, collaboration, clarity, and respect. You have
A strong interest in motivating and engaging students
A desire to create good conditions for students to achieve their goals
Good teamwork skills and a solution-focused approach
A willingness to work in a multicultural environment
