Located in the heart of Skåne, in a beautiful natural setting surrounded by forest and water, Fogdaröd is a non-profit organization with a hundred-year tradition behind it, dedicated to meeting and supporting each individual in using and developing their resources. Fogdaröd has operated Karolinaskolan for the past 25 years, a natural resource gymnasium with a horticultural focus, specially designed for young people with some form of neuropsychiatric condition, such as high-functioning autism and ADHD. The school has 40 students in total and is built on a comprehensive solution including a boarding school. Would you like to work closely with young people in this nature-rich environment and be an important adult in their daily lives? We are seeking new staff with experience working with young people who need special support at school and after school hours, at the boarding school. Your work will involve the boarding school where you support and guide the young people in their daily lives—in practical matters such as cleaning and laundry, as well as in social interaction and the young people's personal development. You will help create conditions for meaningful leisure time. Mentoring with motivating and clarifying conversations as well as documentation are important parts of the work at the boarding school. Working hours are Monday to Friday and can be distributed across day, evening, and may also include overnight sleeping shifts. Continuous selection is applied. You should have post-secondary education such as - Treatment Pedagogue - Social Pedagogue - Teaching Assistant - Leisure Activity Leader or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. Knowledge, interest, and experience regarding high-functioning young people with neuropsychiatric conditions is desirable.
