The Staffing Units within Elderly Care and the Health and Care Services Administration are seeking new temporary staff members for our facilities! Elderly Care and the Health and Care Services Administration operate four staffing units responsible for different geographic areas: Centrum, Hisingen, Nordost, and Sydväst. As temporary staff at one of our units, you'll have the opportunity to work with some mobility and variation on both shorter and longer assignments. Centrum, Hisingen, and Sydväst offer temporary positions in care and nursing homes, short-term housing, home care, and night and alarm units. Nordost offers temporary positions in home care and night and alarm units. Job Responsibilities Your role involves helping with everything the elderly person cannot manage on their own in daily life. For us, it's important to have good and respectful interactions, where we work together to give the elderly a meaningful life. We offer you work where you contribute to the well-being and joy of the elderly. Working in elderly care means providing good nursing care and social support to seniors. Your work includes practical assistance with personal hygiene and care, support with meals and activities, laundry and cleaning, and more. You will also perform health and medical care tasks according to instruction and delegation from a nurse. You choose which days you want to be available for work by entering them into our booking system. You will then be scheduled for work shifts based on the facilities' needs. Qualifications To work with us, you need relevant experience and/or training in health and care. You enjoy working with people and put the individual in focus. You must be at least 18 years old in accordance with the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations on working conditions for minors (AFS 2023:2, chapter 8). As temporary staff with us, it's important that you take initiative and can work independently. You are flexible with your working hours and in your work. You cannot have more than one active employment with Gothenburg Municipality at a time. Note that temporary work with us requires that you do not have another employment exceeding 50%. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role and are guided by the equal value of all people. You have an open and positive attitude with the care recipient's needs as the basis for your actions. You work well with others and take responsibility for your individual and shared work tasks with the care recipients' well-being in focus. To carry out the work in an efficient and safe manner with focus on the individual's needs and wishes, you need good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. We would appreciate it if you can provide grades in Swedish. Documentation is part of the work. For work in home care, several units require that you have a driver's license and driving experience and/or cycling experience. If you know sign language, please mention it in your application. To ensure high quality in our care and services, we would like you—if you don't have care training—to have the necessary prerequisites so you can further your education to become a care assistant or assistant nurse through adult education.
