The Children and Education Administration in Vimmerby municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to higher education, and also manages Swedish for immigrants (sfi) and civic orientation for newly arrived residents. WORK DUTIES We are looking for committed and flexible substitutes who can work at Vimarskolan F-6 and after-school care as needed. As a substitute in primary school or at the after-school program you will play a central role in creating a safe, educational and stimulating environment for students. Your work duties vary depending on where you are placed but may include: • lead instruction according to planning from the regular teacher • support students in their learning and development, individually or in groups • participate in and lead activities at the after-school program before or after school • contribute to a positive and inclusive climate in the classroom or student group • collaborate with other educators and follow the routines at the school or after-school program QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • is trained as a teaching assistant or childcare worker, and has experience working with students in need of special support • is proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, and has good knowledge of mathematics and English • is a swimmer • has clear leadership skills We are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible and has good interpersonal skills where you become a trusted adult for our students. You do not need to be a certified teacher, but experience working with children and young people is a merit. You are comfortable stepping in on short notice and easily adapt to different work environments and tasks. You have the ability to work independently and are confident in taking your own initiatives. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-08-17, end date: 2027-06-11.
