Storumans Municipality is seeking staff for our elderly care operations in Tärnaby, 130 kilometers outside Storuman and 20 kilometers from Hemavan. Duties: Care work involves helping residents of the care and residential facility Stefansgården and the short-term care facility Granhöjden with tasks such as showering, dressing, taking medication, changing incontinence pads or diapers, serving meals and feeding when needed. The work also includes certain activities, such as looking through photo albums and reminiscing, or going for walks together. Work is scheduled during day shifts (7:00-14:15) mixed with evening shifts (14:00-21:30), on weekdays and weekends. Heavier patient transfers occur in this work and we provide training in how to do this as ergonomically as possible. Qualifications Education and previous experience in similar work within elderly care and LSS (disability services) are merits. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You should be positive, patient, and have a commitment to the assignment as well as good collaboration skills and the ability to take own initiative. Speaking and understanding Swedish is important to us. We have a language requirement equivalent to passing grades in Swedish from grade nine. In case of any unclear language skills, we will conduct a written language test. Before a contract is signed, you need to provide a certificate from the Police Criminal Records Register, which you can order from the Police Authority. Salary form: Hourly wage.
