About Villa Joneberg 800 meters from the sea, just outside Simrishamn center, the modern elderly care facility Villa Joneberg (formerly Joneberg Plaza) has been located since 2014. Here there are units with spaces for people with dementia as well as nursing care spaces for somatically ill patients. The facility has a unique profile based on its geographic location: "Culture and nature on Österlen". Dementia Academy Since 2022, Villa Joneberg is certified according to the Dementia Academy, a concept for person-centered care and support for people with dementia that includes employee training and guidance as well as support for relatives. We are a dementia-certified care home, which means that all of us who work here are trained in dementia and person-centered care through Vardaga's Dementia Academy. We apply needs-based flexible scheduling. This means that as an employee you have the opportunity to influence your own working hours, based on needs and preferences. We schedule for 10 weeks at a time. We have a partnership with the company Ung Omsorg. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 years visit us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to enrich the lives of our residents. You have a team leader who spends most of their time working close to you in the facility. Becoming a team leader can also be a career opportunity for you as a care assistant. We work with animals in care and have regular visits from therapy dogs. We are constantly working to come up with new and exciting activities for our residents. For example, we have introduced VR technology that makes it possible to experience different trips, adventures, or games through VR glasses. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see each person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you learn a lot about care, aging, and how to interact with people. You are closest to the resident and thus have a key role in the team with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. You also participate in care planning and write social documentation. Your experience and knowledge We would like you to be a trained care assistant with a few years of experience in elderly care. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are also advantageous. Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is required, but otherwise your CV is not the most important thing.
