The Children and Education Administration in Vimmerby municipality is responsible for all educational activities, from preschool to higher education, and also administers Swedish for immigrants (sfi) and civic orientation for newly arrived residents. We are looking for engaged and flexible substitutes who can work with us at Södra Vi and Djursdala schools (grades F-6) and at after-school centers when needed. As a substitute in primary school or at an after-school center, you play a central role in creating a safe, educational and stimulating environment for students. Your duties will vary depending on where you are placed but may include: • Leading instruction according to planning from the regular teacher • Supporting students in their learning and development, individually or in groups • Participating in and leading activities at the after-school center before or after school • Contributing to a positive and inclusive climate in the classroom or student group • Collaborating with other educators and following procedures at the school or after-school center QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • are trained as a student assistant or childcare worker through upper secondary or adult education • have experience working with students in need of special support • speak Swedish fluently, both orally and in writing Who are you as a person? We are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible and has good interpersonal skills where you become a trusted adult for our students. You do not need to be a trained teacher, but experience working with children and youth is a merit. You are comfortable stepping in on short notice and adapt well to different work environments and tasks. You have the ability to work independently and are confident in taking your own initiative. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2026-08-17, end date: 2027-06-10.
