Substitute Teacher F–6 – Skärsta Friskola

Skärsta Friskola is now seeking reliable, engaged, and responsible substitute teachers who can work in grades F–6. We're looking for someone who can work as needed and is available to step in when regular staff are absent.
About the Position
As a substitute with us, you'll be an important part of creating continuity and security for students when their regular teacher is absent.
You'll be responsible for teaching during the day based on the lesson planning left by the regular teacher. An important part of the role is also to create structure and a productive work environment and to be a secure and present adult for the students.
Your work may include:
carrying out instruction based on existing lesson plans
leading and creating structure in the classroom
supporting and motivating students in their learning
contributing to a sense of security, a conducive learning environment, and a positive climate
meeting students according to their individual needs and abilities
collaborating with teachers, educators, and other school staff
being a secure and clear adult throughout the school day
Who We're Looking For
Above all, we're looking for someone who is a secure, positive, and responsible adult who enjoys working with children of different ages.
You have the ability to lead a group, build good relationships, and at the same time be clear about boundaries and expectations. You need to be flexible and quickly adapt to different situations, as working as a substitute teacher means you may encounter different classes, age groups, and subjects.
Since the need for a substitute sometimes arises the same morning, it's an advantage if you can be available with relatively short notice.
A teaching degree or other pedagogical education is a plus, as is previous experience in teaching or working with children and young people, but it's not a requirement.

We are continuously seeking people to join our substitute teacher pool and will contact suitable applicants on an ongoing basis.
For work in schools, you must present a valid extract from the criminal record before employment.
