Temporary Personal Assistant to 15-Year-Old Boy – Evening and Night Shifts

Do you want meaningful and varied work where you can make a difference in a young person's daily life? We're now recruiting temporary shift workers to support a cheerful and energetic 15-year-old boy in Emmaljunga. Work shifts are scheduled from 17.00-07.00, with on-call duty between 22.15-05.00. You will work alongside a colleague during waking hours. About the Position You will be working with a 15-year-old boy with autism and intellectual disability. He does not have speech and needs support with communication, structure, and transitions between different activities. The work is based at his home in Emmaljunga. He enjoys being active and spending time outdoors, for example on forest outings, but also appreciates quieter activities at home such as doing puzzles. As a personal assistant, you will help create a safe, structured, and meaningful daily life based on his needs and interests. Work Hours Shifts are: 17.00-07.00 On-call: 22.15-05.00 We're looking for someone flexible who can step in as needed, for example during sick leave and holidays. For the right person, there is potential for recurring shifts. We're looking for someone who: Feels secure, calm, and patient Enjoys active and varied work Has a genuine interest in working with children and young people Has experience with personal assistance or similar work – a plus Has knowledge of autism and low-intensity interaction – a plus Holds a B-class driving license – required, as the family lives in a rural area Is not allergic to fur, as the family has a dog Most importantly, you should feel confident in your interactions, be responsive, and able to adapt to the individual's needs.
