Welcome to us! Your work tasks We are seeking substitute hourly staff for the after-school care programs at Nykil and Ulrika schools. As a substitute, you can either work as an after-school care teacher, childcare worker, or student assistant at our after-school care facility when regular staff are absent. The work tasks can range from teaching, serving as a resource in the classroom or for a student during the school day, to supervising recess. In after-school care, the work includes participating in teaching and planned activities. Our activities take place both indoors and outdoors. As a short-term substitute, you primarily work during school terms, though vacation periods may also become relevant. You enter your available time in your digital calendar yourself and are booked according to the facility's needs. Your digital calendar is accessible via an app on your phone or on the web. As a short-term substitute, you need to be prepared for shifts that sometimes come with short notice. Your workplace Nykil School is located in the heart of the Nykil community and houses activities from preschool class through grade 6. Approximately 210 students attend, together contributing to a pleasant and family-like school environment. The school consists of several buildings and has a large schoolyard with its own school forest that inspires play, exploration, and outdoor-based learning. Ulrika School is an F-3 school located in the southern part of Linköping Municipality, on the border of Boxholm Municipality, Mjölby Municipality, and Kinda Municipality. The landscape around this small village school is beautiful and invites active learning. Approximately 30 students attend the school. At our schools, we actively work for safety, a good study environment, and for all students to succeed. We create good relationships, which is reflected in our excellent results. We want our students to develop into confident and independent people who believe in themselves and see possibilities. You as an applicant To be able to work at our schools, you must be at least 18 years old. You have a high school diploma or alternatively an ongoing or completed adult education to become a childcare worker, preschool teacher, or teacher. It is meritorious to have experience working with children or youth. Furthermore, it is meritorious if you have worked in preschool, school, and/or after-school care. As a substitute hourly staff member, you have good communicative skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is so that, according to the curriculum, you can organize and conduct your work in a way that gives children support in their language and communication development and that you are responsible for ensuring that each child can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. As a person, you have the ability to build good relationships and work well with children, colleagues, guardians, and other contacts that occur in your professional role. You have a good understanding of people's differences and approach them in a responsive way in teaching and school life. We warmly welcome your application!
