Temporary Care Assistant - Home Care Services with Dementia and Psychiatric Focus

HOME CARE SERVICES Working Hours: The operation has two different shifts per day and you will work one of them as needed. Day 07.30-16.30 Evening 15.00-22.00 Work Schedule: We require that you are available to work at least 3 shifts per week on an ongoing basis, and we prefer that you can work more than that as we strive for maximum continuity in our operations. (We do not accept applications if you can only work weekends or partial shifts, as these are the times that apply). We also expect that you plan to stay with the organization for an extended period. Salary: Based on the organization's collective agreement (Almega) To work in this operation, it is advantageous if you: -have knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people with various types of dementia or mental health issues -have worked for an extended period in home care or elderly care facilities -speak and write Swedish very well, as you visit clients who may have difficulty understanding and speaking, and you must be able to document in client records and read instructions -are social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, initiative-taking, and creative in your work approach -can handle stress and are able to plan and structure your work -have good local knowledge of central Stockholm, as you travel by public transportation or on foot Please note that we place great emphasis on personal suitability such as knowledge, interest, initiative, communication/approach, and personality traits. Work Duties You follow an intervention schedule and visit clients in their own homes, performing the services they have been approved for according to their assistance decisions. The decision includes, among other things, general hygiene and personal hygiene care, showering, meal preparation, social companionship, cleaning, laundry, shopping, accompanying them to various facilities, and going for walks. We focus heavily on motivating clients so we can carry out the interventions and use various work methods as tools. We have team leaders and an administrator who staff the office during daytime hours, and you can reach out to them during your daily work. Who Are We Stockholm Dementia and Specialist Team is a home care company that provides services in clients' own homes. The organization also provides companion services, respite care services, and residential support. The operation consists of only two large teams and you can work in either one depending on your interest and competence: The Dementia Team focuses on clients with dementia where severity levels vary. The Specialist Team focuses on mental health issues, ongoing substance abuse, and also includes residential support. We use the time reporting system Paragå where employees log in and out from each client visit using a mobile phone and NFC tags, and document directly on site in the client's record. Paragå monitors logins via GPS. Where We Are Located and How You Get to Clients We have clients in 8 different districts and you start and end your work shift from Södermalm where we have our office. You travel to clients by public transportation or on foot (the organization has no vehicles). An SL card is a requirement for this position.
