Substitute Teacher - Elementary School Grades F-9

IES Eskilstuna is seeking engaged and responsible substitute teachers for our elementary school, grades F-9. As a substitute teacher with us, you will have varied and meaningful work where you support the school when regular staff are absent. You will meet students of different ages and become an important part of the school's safe and positive learning environment. Responsibilities: Substitute for teachers during absences Take responsibility for instruction based on planning from regular staff Create safety, structure, and a good learning atmosphere in the classroom Contribute to a safe and stimulating learning environment during lessons and breaks Collaborate with colleagues Assist with indoor and outdoor activities This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working in a bilingual environment and develop yourself within the school world! QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is flexible and can step in as a substitute teacher with short notice. You have completed upper secondary education and experience working with children and young people. It is advantageous if you have previously worked at a school or elementary school, are studying to become a recreation leader/after-school care teacher, or have relevant education in the field. As a person, you are responsible and like to take your own initiative. You have a clear focus on students. Work as a substitute teacher involves many interactions, so it is very important that you have a positive view of people and good collaboration skills. Above all, you have a passionate interest in children's and young people's learning and development. We are looking for someone who: Is passionate about working with children and young people Is confident, flexible, and responsible Has a positive approach and good collaboration skills Can lead groups and maintain good order Can build good relationships with our students, staff, and guardians Can contribute to a good working atmosphere in student groups and in the classroom Has good knowledge of Swedish and/or English, both spoken and written The employment is on an hourly basis as needed, with a start as soon as possible.
