Working in home care is an enjoyable and varied job, and you need to be flexible, able to adapt to the individual's needs, and take your own responsibility. As a person, it is important that you are positive and engaged, as we as staff want to convey security and joy to our clients. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. For employment as a nursing assistant, you must have appropriate education and be able to provide grades/diploma. If you are untrained, you can work as a care assistant for a limited time. During the time you try out the work, we hope your interest is sparked and that you want to study in a care and welfare program. WORK DUTIES Sala home care consists of 9 home care teams, 2 day activities, and night patrols. One home care group operates from Möklinta and one from Västerfärnebo. The remaining teams operate from Stadsträdgården in central Sala, the home care building. The building also houses coordinators, alarm assistants, and unit managers. Home care has a service vehicle and service bicycle used in the work. Our short-term housing has 18 rooms available for those who need round-the-clock care for a shorter period. In your work, you support clients in their homes with personal care such as dressing and undressing, hygiene, help with meals, activities, accompaniment, etc. You must have the ability to receive delegation from a nurse regarding, among other things, medication in order to work in home care. You will attend training, 2 hours of physical training and online training, to be equipped to handle the delegation. The individual's needs determine which services are relevant and how often services are provided, and all services are assessed based on the Social Services Act. QUALIFICATIONS You must be 18 years old at the time of employment You must have the ability to receive delegation from a nurse, which means you should administer medication or medical care. You need to be able to speak, write, and understand Swedish as documentation and communication are an important part of the work You need to be able to use a computer, iPad, and iPhone Good physical health We place great emphasis on personal suitability. MERITORIOUS QUALIFICATIONS Secondary school education, care and welfare program, or children's and recreation program Care experience Language skills beyond Swedish Competence in various methods/approaches such as dementia/AAC/MI, etc. Driver's license category B OTHER We provide aids and protective equipment such as masks and face shields. As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected title. This means that if you are a nursing assistant, you need to apply for a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare and present it to your employer in order to call yourself a nursing assistant.
