About Us
Granbackaskolan is an elementary school in Huvudsta for students from preschool through grade 3. Every day, we strive to provide our 300 students with important tools in the form of self-confidence, social competence, and critical thinking. What Does the Work Involve?
You will be a substitute teacher at Granbackaskolan and will be called in as needed. As an hourly substitute, you replace regular staff during shorter or longer absences. You need to be prepared to be booked for work on short notice, usually the same morning. In your role as an hourly substitute, you conduct lessons in the classroom based on the regular teacher's planning. After teaching, you're responsible for any necessary documentation and for handing over to the regular staff.
You'll receive a call-in contract as a substitute teacher. If you're also interested in substitute work in the after-school program, that's also a possibility.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- is a certified teacher or is currently in teacher training
- has experience working with children and youth
- speaks and writes Swedish very well
It's a plus if you:
- have experience in pedagogical work in schools and/or after-school programs
As a person, you are clear and relationship-oriented and collaborate easily with others. You'll follow others' plans during staff absences and work with students, educators, and parents alike. You organize and prioritize effectively and ensure all processes are completed with high quality. You're a reassuring person with strong pedagogical insight who can lead groups and individuals. As a substitute teacher, you work independently and are confident managing a classroom on your own.
You have, like we do, strong commitment and the ability to create situations where students succeed.
