Your New Position
We are now seeking a permit officer to start in early October 2026. Together with knowledgeable and engaged colleagues, you will work on processing and investigating our permit applications within minors' work environment, asbestos, chemical workplace environment risks, and biocides.
In your daily work, you will investigate whether companies and private individuals applying for permits have the knowledge and competence needed to be granted a permit. You will collaborate with inspectors throughout Sweden in these assessments and also be in contact with applicants who need help and guidance in the application process. In your role as a civil servant, it's important to meet the public in a professional and objective manner. The decisions you make can have significant impact on businesses and private individuals. You will make individual assessments in each case based on the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations.
This position belongs to the Permits, Microbiology and Radiation unit within the Regulation Division.
Your Background
The role requires that you have:
Relevant university education of at least 120 credits according to the old higher education system or at least 180 higher education credits according to the new system. If you have relevant work experience, other education may be assessed as equivalent.
Experience in case management within public administration.
Good IT skills and experience using different digital platforms and IT systems.
Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you also have:
Experience working with asbestos is strongly meritorious.
Experience handling permit cases.

How We Recruit
