We expect: higher academic education or second-level professional higher education, or a final-year student (preference for education in legal sciences); high sense of responsibility, ability to think analytically, precision in task completion; good communication, argumentation, and collaboration skills; ability to work individually and in a team; state language at the highest level; high-level command of Latvian written language – grammar, punctuation, and syntax rules; knowledge of English and Russian will be considered an advantage; good skills in working with information and communication technologies, including computer user-level experience; restrictions specified in Article 6, Part 3 of the Court Experts Law do not apply; ability to use an independently registered national electronic identification solution, i.e., eParaksts mobile, eParaksts eID, or eParaksts card. Main duties as a court expert: conduct expertise in handwriting and signature examination specialty; prepare expert opinions and other documents in accordance with applicable legal requirements; participate in procedural actions upon request of the process manager. *If a court expert candidate does not hold a court expert certificate in the handwriting and signature examination specialty obtained in accordance with the Court Experts Law, we provide training in the relevant specialty. Main duties during training: master the fundamentals of handwriting and signature examination according to a training program approved by the Court Experts Council; perform training expertise work under the supervision of a training supervisor. We offer: monthly salary as a court expert from 1450,- EUR to 1710,- EUR (during training 1050,- EUR if you do not have a court expert certificate), according to 13th position family, III position level, and 9th salary group; stable employment in state administration with social guarantees; professional growth and development opportunities; opportunity to conduct scientific research using institutional equipment; health insurance; paid vacation – 28 calendar days; paid additional vacation – no less than 6 working days for annual evaluation; vision correction expense compensation; vacation allowance up to 50 percent of monthly salary.
