COURTS ADMINISTRATION announces an open competition for RĪGAS RAJONA TIESA (Aiviekstes iela 6, Riga) INTERPRETER position (for an indefinite period) Your responsibilities: participate in court sessions and provide legally qualified oral and written interpretation from Latvian to Russian and from Russian to Latvian in court; translate court decisions and other documents required in legal proceedings; provide interpretation to process participants to review case materials in cases provided for by regulatory enactments. Requirements for candidates: preferred higher education in humanities or social sciences; preferred experience in documentation, as well as oral and written foreign language interpretation; Latvian language proficiency at an advanced level; knowledge of legal terminology; good communication skills; ability to work under increased workload; preferred practical work experience in institutions belonging to the court system; good skills in MS Office (MS Word) and internet browser use.
