Together we create Alingsås! The Department of Children and Youth is responsible for preschools, after-school programs, primary schools, and adapted primary schools for grades F-9. In total, we are approximately 1,100 people working to provide quality services for our children and students today and prepare them for the future. Ängaboskolan is a grades F-6 school with just over 360 students in primary school. The school is located in southern Alingsås and is situated close to both forest and lake. The school facilities are spacious and fresh, enabling a variety of teaching methods for both school and after-school programs. Around the school buildings is a large schoolyard that encourages our students to engage in various recess activities such as football, basketball, bandy, gagaball, and different role-playing games. Ängaboskolan has many shared activities that utilize the area around the school. We are now seeking a substitute teacher in textile arts who wants to work with us at Ängaboskolan. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as a textile arts teacher, you are well-grounded in primary school's mission and actively participate in pedagogical development work and collegial learning processes. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in textile arts. You awaken students' curiosity and desire to create by introducing them to different techniques and materials, while creating a safe and inspiring learning environment. With a clear focus on meeting each student where they are, you adapt instruction to individual needs and circumstances and ensure that teaching follows the curriculum and promotes knowledge development. Your daily work is characterized by the values and approaches described in Alingsås Municipality's core values. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • are a certified teacher with authorization to teach grades 3-6 in textile arts, but other relevant experience may also apply • have relevant prior experience for this position You are genuinely interested in the teaching profession and in textile arts and have the ability to build trust and create positive interactions with students, guardians, and colleagues. As a classroom leader, you are clear and structured, have strong pedagogical skills, and are confident in your leadership. Your work is characterized by attentiveness to students' individual needs, interests, and development. You work well collaboratively and contribute both to the team's work and to the school's systematic quality improvement. We place great importance on personal qualities.
