Main Responsibilities As a test lead at the Swedish Armed Forces, you have a central role with the task of leading the work of quality assuring system deliveries in various assignments and development projects. You will usually be part of a team that together ensures that system solutions and deliveries maintain good quality and where security is a vital part of the solution. In your role as test lead, you plan, coordinate, and lead tests in close collaboration with project management, the business, developers/technicians, and external suppliers. You have a strong ability to act as a test lead at an operational level in conducting tests at different levels. You also have the ability to contribute together with other test leads to developing the test area at a strategic level in the form of strategy, processes, and tools. Examples of test lead responsibilities in projects: Lead and drive test work through planning and follow-up. Lead and organize the work of developing test cases and test data. Operationally lead the implementation of tests at different levels, e.g., system testing, acceptance testing, and integration testing. Monitor and report test results during implementation to the project's stakeholders, e.g., steering committee and project management. Continuously contribute to strengthening and improving the test area regarding processes and methods, e.g., through development of test automation and tools. Qualification Requirements At least 3 years of higher education in computer science or data technology, or alternatively work experience that the Swedish Armed Forces considers equivalent. At least 4 years of experience as a test lead. Alternatively, you have at least 4 years of experience working as a test lead or in another role within the test area with the ambition to take on a leading role. Strong ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, both in Swedish and English. Meritorious Experience and Competencies Knowledge and experience of one or more test tools. One or more certifications according to ISTQB (Foundation, Advanced, Agile). Documented knowledge and experience of test automation. Experience of agile working methods, e.g., SAFe/Scrum. Work in environments with high security requirements. Integrate AI as part of the testing and development process. Experience of working in the Swedish Armed Forces within operations other than IT. Experience of working in multiple different areas of the IT industry where you have held different roles. Other Information The position is a permanent civil employment and begins with a 6-month probationary period for those not previously employed by the Swedish Armed Forces. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. The position is located in Stockholm. Travel will occur as part of the position.
