About the Position In this role, you will be part of a nationwide team responsible for commissioning and completion of elevators in both new installations and modernization projects. You will work on taking installations all the way through to approved inspection, where you plan, conduct, and document testing, commissioning, fine-tuning, and handling of any deviations. Work takes place at various job sites and includes programming, parameterization, and optimization of control systems, as well as technical troubleshooting in both electrical and mechanical areas. You are responsible for addressing inspection remarks and ensuring that installations meet applicable quality and safety requirements. The role also includes verifying that subcontractors perform their work according to established quality procedures. You collaborate continuously with assembly, project management, suppliers, the technical department, and accredited inspection bodies for initial, periodic, and revision inspections according to Swedish practice and EU elevator directives. You participate in both internal and external meetings related to quality, technology, and project implementation. Work is conducted from home with a service vehicle; you report to the Project Manager in Malmö and travel within the region is part of the position. Examples of Work Tasks Lead and conduct Test & Commissioning activities such as safety chain inspection, door logic, brake testing, leveling accuracy, drive systems (VFD/servo), load testing including overload, and functional tests according to standards and manufacturer procedures. Parameterization and programming of control systems (controller), optimization of operation, and documentation for handover to customer and service organization. Preparation and technical coordination for third-party inspection, including ensuring complete T&C and CE documentation. Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, for example in control cabinets, sensor systems, and emergency communication/telephone, and closing deviations together with assembly and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with the EN 81 series and the Elevator Directive 2014/33/EU in both practical implementation and documentation. What We're Looking For Post-secondary education in electrical, automation, or equivalent work experience. (REQUIRED) Good knowledge of control and safety systems, including the ability to read electrical diagrams and work with elevator controls and drive systems. (REQUIRED) Class B driver's license. (REQUIRED) Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. (REQUIRED) Previous experience with Test & Commissioning / commissioning of elevators in new installations and/or modernization. Experience collaborating with inspection bodies such as DEKRA or Kiwa in connection with inspections in Sweden. Background in microelectronics or work with advanced data systems and control systems. Experience in troubleshooting, measuring, and testing within electrical, automation, or related technical installations. Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations, such as EN 81, national building codes, and inspection practices (initial, periodic, and revision inspections).
