Field Technician at Telia Field Operations Team East (Gotland) Are you interested in technology and want to be part of future telecom technical assignments? About Us Telia Field Operations is Telia's own contracting business and our primary task is to ensure that Telia's national security customers are constantly operational and can expand, even in times of crisis and emergency preparedness. We also work with masts, fiber construction, switchovers, network security work, field analyses, network investigations, migration work, etc. Our assignment also includes service, delivery and troubleshooting of fixed and mobile networks. With us you become part of a local team with our skilled employees. We operate nationally from Örebro, Trollhättan, Gothenburg, Sundsvall, Stockholm, Kalmar, Gotland, Luleå and Scania. We currently have about 50 employees, of which about 40 are technicians. We are now looking for new employees for Gotland where we currently have 4 employees. Description As a technician, you have varied tasks and work with everything from splicing fiber, working in masts, to customer-specific installations at companies and government agencies where active equipment and IP networks are a major part of the assignment. Your role includes: Maintenance work, deliveries and troubleshooting in fiber, mobile and IP networks as well as active equipment. Installation and service of classified security networks with special equipment. Independently and together, locating faults, measuring and troubleshooting line breaks, bypass and contact errors in the network. You depart with a service vehicle from home and go directly or via our work center to the service assignments you have been allocated, assignments for which you are independently responsible for checking and reporting. The work involves free and mobile working days with lots of travel. Because you can usually work from home, the work-life balance becomes easier. The position includes on-call duty, and night work may also occur. Who are you? We particularly welcome female applicants. As a technician, you also need good collaboration skills as the position involves contact and collaboration with clients, end customers, project managers, landowners, subcontractors and colleagues. The work will contain security-sensitive information and therefore requires that you can handle work under high confidentiality. Qualifications At least one year's experience working as a technician in electrical, fiber, datacom/transmission/AXE or mobile. Category B driving license (if you have a BE license, that is an advantage) Good knowledge of Swedish and English Good PC skills You cannot be colorblind or afraid of heights as pole work may occur. Employment with us involves placement in a security classification that requires Swedish citizenship. Security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
