Telephone Operator

We are looking for an additional team member to join our traffic management center. The position we're seeking is a telephone operator. Our traffic management center consists of two roles: traffic managers and telephone operators. The position we are now looking to fill is as a telephone operator. The telephone operator role is an entry-level position that primarily involves receiving booking requests from customers via phone and email, and entering these into our traffic management system. Björkstaden Beställningscentral AB is a dispatch center for taxi and publicly funded transportation, currently operating taxi services in Umeå, Kalix, Kramfors, Luleå, Nordmaling, Robertsfors, Skellefteå, Sollefteå, Vindeln, Vännäs, and Örnsköldsvik municipalities. In total, the group has approximately 300 employees and approximately 185 vehicles. The position is based in Umeå. The position is 75-100%. Please indicate in your application your preferred hours. Working hours vary, but most shifts are during daytime. Holiday work occurs every other or every third week. We place great importance on personality since we work very closely together and it is important that you function well as part of a group. A fundamental quality is the ability to collaborate to make the workdays run smoothly, but it is also important to feel confident working independently and making your own decisions. We are looking for someone who has a good ability to maintain a positive attitude and who enjoys working in a service-oriented manner. We are looking for these qualities in you: - That you are stress-resistant and can handle multiple matters/tasks simultaneously. - That you are organized and have a talent for structuring things. The ability to plan and structure is essential. - That you have good computer skills. It is good if you are proficient in Office and are used to working at a computer. - That you can work independently and take responsibility, but also function as part of a team. - That you enjoy service-oriented work and customer contact. - That you have a positive attitude and like to take on tasks/assignments. - That you speak and understand Swedish and English fluently. You should not have pet allergies as the workplace to some extent allows employees to bring dogs. The workplace has a collective agreement with Unionen and the role falls under the white-collar agreement Traffic Agreement. For the telephone operator position, the starting salary is set at: 24,500 kr for full-time. Any on-call/standby pay is additional. We wish to fill the position as soon as possible, and it may be filled before the final application deadline. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
