About the position
The Hemotherapy section conducts highly specialized activities in apheresis, stem cell therapy, and advanced cell and gene therapies. The section consists of an apheresis unit where patients are treated and stem cells are harvested, as well as a GMP laboratory with a dedicated clean room for advanced cell handling.
The operation is regulated by the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Medical Products Agency and is accredited according to several national and international quality standards, including SWEDAC and JACIE. Here, clinical activities are combined with research and development projects for future treatments.
The position is primarily based at the Stem Cell Laboratory and Apheresis Unit in Huddinge, but work also occurs at our apheresis unit in Solna. During the introductory period, you will primarily be active at the Huddinge unit.
As Technical Manager, you have a central role in the operation and work closely with the Medical Director, nurses, biomedical scientists, quality managers, and other technical managers within the clinic.
Your responsibilities include:
- responsibility for validation, verification, and management of medical devices and methods
- documenting and developing the operation within the quality management system
- participating in procurement and driving development projects
- initiating and leading digitalization projects and working with scientific monitoring of patient treatments
- contributing to the development, quality assurance, and production of new advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMP).
You will also be part of the management group for Hemotherapy and report to the Head of Development and IT.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- doctoral degree in biomedicine, biotechnology, or another relevant field
- very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- experience with development or quality work in ATMP or other relevant cell or gene therapy
- experience with quality assurance or management of medical devices and methods
Meriting factors:
- experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing according to GMP
- experience with apheresis or stem cell operations
- experience with digitalization and data analysis
- knowledge of flow cytometry
- training and experience in project management
