About the Company
Rolling Optics is a Swedish innovative technology company that has been developing and producing micro-optical films with 3D and motion effects since 2005. These films are used in banknotes, passports, ID documents, and security solutions and copy protection for well-known brands. The products are manufactured with patented technology and used globally by leading players in the high-security industry, including integrated into products through Rolling Optics partners CCL Secure (AUS/UK) and Oberthur Fiduciaire (FR).
Rolling Optics currently has 24 employees, with the entire chain under one roof – from idea and design to development, marketing, sales, and production. This means that employees gain a clear understanding of the whole process, receive quick feedback, and have good opportunities to influence the entire process. The business, which consists of engineers, printers, developers, and technicians, is based in newly renovated and secure facilities in Solna Strand.
Responsibilities
As a technical printer at Rolling Optics, you will work with the manufacturing of micro-optical films – an advanced process where precision, accuracy, and technical interest are central. In this role, you are responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure that products meet high quality standards. The work encompasses both production and process responsibility, as well as other tasks that contribute to the overall manufacturing chain. You will work full-time producing according to orders, performing development testing, carrying out service and maintenance on production equipment, and preparing manufactured material for delivery.
You will, among other things:
Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment for micro-optical printing
Perform quality controls on products and printing tools
Participate in process optimization and development of new materials and printing methods
Carry out maintenance, service, and troubleshooting of processes and equipment
Ensure that manufacturing procedures and recipes are followed
You will become an important part of a small, cohesive production team where responsibility and team spirit are crucial to success. The work is conducted close to production managers, technicians, and engineers to ensure every detail meets the highest standard.
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
Technical secondary education, preferably with a focus on printing, process technology, or equivalent post-secondary education
Experience from the printing industry
Strong merit with experience working in a manufacturing environment, particularly within roll-to-roll production
Good computer skills and understanding of technical equipment
Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
