As part of strengthening our work in data and analytics support, we are now seeking a technical strategy lead who wants to help build a new delivery area with a clear focus on developing the organization's capability to work data-driven and leverage AI across the entire organization. As a technical strategy lead for data and AI, you will be part of the Municipal Executive Office's development function and will belong to the department for digital development and innovation. The department is responsible for leading and supporting digital transformation in Karlstad Municipality. Does this sound exciting? Then this role might be for you! Responsibilities In the role of technical strategy lead, you are responsible for developing, maintaining, and shaping the technical direction for data and AI in the municipality, from strategy to practical development. You will work closely with operations, IT, and other key stakeholders to create a cohesive, scalable, and future-proof platform capability. You will be a central bridge between strategic development and the development of new initiatives, and the practical implementation and management. You will be part of a new delivery team for data and analytics support and work in close collaboration with, in particular, the delivery area manager, information architect, technical product owners, and enterprise architect. Your main areas of responsibility Be responsible for strategy and vision for technical platforms within the data and analytics support area. AI is included in this area. Evaluate and develop decision-making support for the development of platform capabilities for data-driven work and the use of AI Lead and coordinate POCs to evaluate technical capability. Be an active collaborating partner with the IT department on matters related to architecture, platform, and management Contribute to the development of working methods, practices, and shared principles within the data and analytics support delivery area and AI. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Has experience developing strategic visions linked to digital development and can navigate between holistic perspectives and technical details Has deep technical understanding within data architecture, analytics platforms, or AI Has experience working with modern data and AI platforms Has the ability to collaborate and build trust in complex environments Has relevant post-secondary education, for example in data science, data engineering, or AI/machine learning. It is a merit if you: Have worked with data-driven development in larger organizations Have experience developing principles for hybrid strategies Have experience working at the intersection of operations, governance, legal/information security, and technology.
