About the Operation The IT Support function is tasked with developing and managing overarching and common processes for the area. It also bears responsibility for services within these areas. Our operations are primarily located in Sundsvall, Härnösand, Örnsköldsvik, and Sollefteå. The IT operation's mandate is to deliver high-quality and secure IT services to the region's operations. Deliveries occur through projects, administration, and support to a complex and vital operation. IT also works extensively as a customer organization since the region's IT operations are managed by an external provider. Within IT, approximately 90 people work, all with varying backgrounds and experience. We strive for an open work environment where we help each other develop. We are now seeking a technical IT project manager who will play a central role in leading and delivering our IT projects. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects according to schedule and budget, as well as ensuring that projects meet our high quality standards. The position is a permanent full-time employment with the earliest start date of 2026-09-01. Job Responsibilities - Lead project teams and collaborate with various departments to ensure successful project deliveries - Develop and monitor project plans, timelines, and budgets - Identify and manage risks and resolve problems that may arise during the project - Communicate regularly with stakeholders and keep them informed of project progress - Ensure that projects meet technical requirements and quality standards - Drive projects according to our decided project management model PPS Qualifications We are looking for you who - Have post-secondary education within the IT field, or equivalent knowledge from work experience - Have experience managing technical IT projects in the public sector or in organizations we deem equivalent over the past three years - Have good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing - Have a driver's license (Category B) It is advantageous if you - Have education in project management, such as leadership, change management, risk management, and communication - Have experience with procurement, value assessment, and project models such as PPS To succeed in this role, we believe you have these personal qualities - Goal- and results-oriented - Structured - Relationship-building - Leadership Region Västernorrland With approximately 7,000 employees and over 200 professions, we at Region Västernorrland are responsible for several of the operations that are most important for residents' ability to participate in society.
