Technical Product Specialist for Travel Sensor Systems We are currently seeking a driven technical product specialist for the Travel Sensor Systems group. Workplace Description The IT Department's primary task is to provide IT services to the entire Swedish Police Authority. The IT Department develops and modernizes the police's IT systems, and the agency is investing heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist expertise and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in police operations. Within the Travel Sensor Systems group, we have overall responsibility for the development and system management of capabilities used to monitor our borders in order to prevent and stop serious crime and terrorism. Job Description As a Technical Product Specialist with us, you will be part of a team with overall responsibility for both development and maintenance of our products. We deliver user-centered and smart solutions targeting different types of user groups within police operations. We work closely with the business in short iterations to quickly and efficiently deliver what provides the most value. Your responsibility is to lead the technical aspects of implementations and throughout the entire product lifecycle. As a product specialist, you are the point of contact for questions regarding, for example, development or incidents related to the products you are responsible for. You collaborate with development teams or suppliers on maintenance, improvement, and further development measures needed to manage the product lifecycle. You also participate in planning how the rollout of new capabilities in IT systems should be conducted in the best way. Technical evaluations prior to purchases may occur. Qualifications We are looking for someone with Relevant academic education (preferably a degree) in data/IT, or a degree from relevant vocational education, for example in web/system development or similar. Alternatively, you have equivalent acquired competence that the Swedish Police Authority deems equivalent Recent experience implementing, coordinating, and structuring IT projects/assignments/solutions from a lifecycle perspective Recent experience implementing deployments, changes, and updates of IT systems in a Windows and/or Linux environment Current technical experience in relevant areas for the position, such as Microsoft Windows, IT security, IT architecture, networks, and integrations You must have a strong command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you also have the following Experience with system development Worked with Microsoft SQL Server/MySQL databases. Experience acting as, for example, technology specialist, IT technician, systems technician, systems administrator, object specialist, or application specialist Good ability to document technical processes and architecture Personal Qualities The duties require that you have a service-oriented and solution-focused approach to the business, colleagues, managers, and others affected.
