With us, you will have a key role in developing and managing technically complex properties that support education, research, and innovation.
As a Technical Manager, you will have a key role in developing and managing the technical environment within your campus area. With a focus on functionality, operational reliability, sustainability, and long-term value creation, you are responsible for planning, prioritizing, and monitoring technical management.
Together with the Property Manager, you form what we call the campus pair, where you jointly drive the development of the campus area and ensure coordinated, efficient, and customer-oriented delivery. In this role, you also work closely with operations technicians, operations specialists, property engineers, and project managers, and contribute to developing the properties with a focus on technology, business, sustainability, and long-term value creation.
You will be based at our office in Örebro and report to the Department Head. At the office, you work with operations technicians, operations specialists, property managers, project managers, and an IT specialist. At the same time, you become part of a larger team within Technology & Service in Linköping, Norrköping, and Örebro with approximately 27 colleagues with various expertise.

Areas of Responsibility
You are responsible for:
Planning, prioritizing, and monitoring operations, maintenance, and technical measures within your campus area
Managing the operations budget, maintenance planning, and monitoring of technical costs
Driving technical customer dialogue and ensuring coordinated technical delivery
Being the client and requirements setter for technical measures, investments, and maintenance projects
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and long-term planning of technical infrastructure and media supply
Driving development in technology, energy, sustainability, and digitalization
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
Post-secondary education in property management, installation technology, building technology, or equivalent experience
Several years of experience in technical management, operations, maintenance, or similar technical roles in the real estate industry
Experience with maintenance planning, budget work, and monitoring
Good understanding of technical installations and property systems
Experience in coordinating and leading work through others
Good knowledge of Swedish and good IT skills
As a person, you are business-minded, structured, and solution-oriented. You thrive in a role where you combine technology, coordination, and development, and have the ability to create engagement and drive initiatives forward.
You build trusting relationships, are clear in your communication, and have a talent for collaborating with colleagues, customers, and contractors. At the same time, you are confident in making decisions, prioritizing between different needs, and turning plans into results.
Meritorious:
Experience with commercial or technically complex properties, energy and sustainability work
Experience in operating and managing outdoor environments
