This position is for you with a background in building systems who has a genuine interest in buildings and people.
At Higab, you'll encounter an unusually broad technical environment. We have theaters, market halls, industrial buildings, arenas, and historically significant buildings – each with its own unique conditions, challenges, and history. Our portfolio includes many of Gothenburg's most well-known and beloved buildings, such as Feskekôrka, Gothenburg Museum of Art, Ullevi, and Stora Saluhallen.
You'll become part of a dedicated and conscientious team that coordinates technical work across our properties. You support each other in daily operations involving contractor relations, authority inspections, and maintenance planning, in close collaboration with property managers, building technicians, and facilities technicians. Together, you ensure that our buildings and tenants thrive.
About the Role
As a technical property manager, you have the complete picture – from daily details to long-term planning. You know your properties well, identify needs early, plan initiatives, and ensure that work is completed with quality and strong customer focus.
The role includes:
adjusting operations and building maintenance
planning and ordering maintenance work
handling invoices
conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
contributing to budget work and financial follow-up with property managers
constant communication with contractors and tenants
The work is independent, and you largely plan your own days based on the needs of the properties and operations.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone with several years of technical experience in the real estate field. You have relevant post-secondary education. It's advantageous if you have a background in HVAC, control systems, or automation. We'd especially like to see that you're currently working as a technical property manager. You have prior experience in an independent role and have experience managing smaller projects. A driver's license is required.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You thrive in a role where you take overall responsibility and drive work forward. You have a strong ability to see what needs to be done before it becomes a problem.
You collaborate naturally with others, share your knowledge, and contribute to a down-to-earth work environment. Contact with tenants is a natural part of the work, and you always interact with people in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
You're also comfortable working with planned maintenance – ordering, instructing, and following up on contractors' work with quality and clarity.
Why Higab
At Higab, we don't just manage properties. We steward parts of Gothenburg's shared history and future. Our buildings are important places in people's everyday lives, and this is evident in the commitment of both our employees and the organizations we serve.
Here you can work long-term in an organization with strong expertise, high satisfaction, and a clear public mission. You'll become part of a company where people care – about the city, about the buildings, and about each other.
We believe in knowledge sharing and community, and through both internal initiatives and social activities, we create space for development and wellbeing. Of course, we also offer benefits such as wellness subsidies.
