Read more and apply through this listing. About the role and team You will join a team of 13 colleagues in the Primary and Secondary Schools business area. We manage schools in Järva, Hässelby-Vällingby, and Bromma and are one of a total of seven facility management areas at SISAB. The team includes five property managers, three technical managers, and four facility custodians, as well as Area Manager Jens Stålö, to whom you will report. You will become the team's grounds specialist, and in each of SISAB's seven facility management areas, there is a corresponding role – together you form a network that supports each other. As Technical Grounds Manager, you are responsible for grounds management at just over 50 of SISAB's primary and secondary schools. You are responsible for both daily maintenance and long-term planning, requirement specification, and follow-up through collaboration with colleagues in the facility management team, for example facility custodians and property managers. In other words, this is a role that offers the opportunity for extensive contact and professional development. You have an important role in creating development and efficiency, as well as maintaining property value. As a technical manager focused on grounds, you lead the work with the facility area's grounds, from corrective to planned maintenance. To do this, you are active and present around the properties in your area of responsibility and regularly visit the sites to follow up on inspection status and conduct needs analyses. You are the technical coordinator in internal steering groups and take initiative in collaboration with other departments and units. You are also responsible for playground inspections with associated measures and functional controls in consultation with facility custodians. You work according to our established process for storm water management measures and maintenance of SISAB's tree inventory. After some time, once you've settled in, the role will also include on-call work to ensure facility operations during storms and heavy weather, as well as snow removal and anti-icing measures. We work according to a rotating schedule in the team, which means on-call duty falls approximately every seven weeks. How much happens during an on-call period depends of course on the weather, but you never stand alone – we back each other up in the team. The role is a combination of office work and visits to schoolyards and ongoing projects there. We operate from our new office in Hammarby Sjöstad, which we move to on October 1st. For travel to the properties, you have access to a pool car. Your profile What is most important to us is that you have several years of experience in grounds maintenance and grounds installation, either from the real estate industry or from the contracting side. We would prefer that you have post-secondary education in grounds, gardening, landscaping, or similar, but experience is more important than education. It is a merit if you have experience in property economics and/or education in construction law. In your daily work, you are organized and have good administrative skills. You are accustomed to working in digital systems and plan your work independently, even when circumstances change. Since the role involves travel to our properties, you need to have a valid driver's license (category B). Given that the role has many contact points, it is important that you are communicative and have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing. You thrive in and promote good collaboration, and like to deliver high service. You see and understand both the customer's and SISAB's needs, and drive work forward through our contractors from a business perspective.
