About Hospital Battalion The unit is undergoing expansion and after the turn of the year 2026/2027, the aim is to increase the number of positions to be able to provide support either toward combat units or basic training. Battalion staff leads, plans and coordinates operations and creates the conditions for the battalion's operational capability. Hospital Battalion today is the Swedish Armed Forces' medical support unit with the task of being able to establish and operate medical resources to support national and international operations. Main Duties As Technical Chief at battalion staff, you are the battalion commander's primary advisor on technical matters. You are responsible for leading, planning, coordinating and monitoring the battalion's technical service and ensuring that equipment and technical systems can be used with high availability. - Follow up on compliance with the battalion's maintenance plans. - Guide technical personnel. - Responsible for technical assessments and monitoring of equipment status. - Close collaboration with TKM and ground workshops. - Support the battalion commander with technical decision-making materials. - Participate in the battalion's planning and leadership process. - Participate in exercises, operations and readiness activities. - Contribute to the development of procedures and methods within technical service. - Perform administrative work in PRIO and LIFT. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications - Approved officer degree or specialist officer degree. - Trained technical officer within the Swedish Armed Forces. - Swedish citizen. - Class B driver's license. - Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. - Good physical fitness according to Swedish Armed Forces requirements.
