Do you have experience in planning or estimating within industry or a technical background from a workshop or manufacturing environment, and want to apply your expertise in a new way? Jernbro is now seeking a planner/estimator for our operations in Finspång. Here you'll work with technical drawings, estimates, and customer inquiries, and serve as the link between customer and production. Your understanding of manufacturing and how work is executed in practice will be a valuable asset. About the role In our workshop in Finspång, we manufacture welded and machined parts and steel structures according to our customers' specific needs. We work with stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum, with full traceability and documentation throughout the manufacturing process. As a planner/estimator, you receive and process customer inquiries. Using drawings and other technical documentation, you familiarize yourself with what needs to be manufactured and calculate what the job will require in terms of materials, labor time, and costs. Based on this, you build estimates and prepare quotation documentation. You will, among other things: read and interpret technical drawings calculate materials, labor time, and costs prepare estimates and quotation documentation work in Excel and our business system Jeeves maintain contact with customers and suppliers work closely with production and follow up on the jobs you have estimated It's a varied role where you get to combine technical understanding with problem-solving, numbers, and contact with both customers and colleagues. Who are we looking for? We prefer that you already have experience in planning, estimating, or similar work within industry. But we're also open to you if you have broad technical and practical experience from, for example, a workshop, manufacturing, mechanics, assembly, or maintenance, and want to take the next step toward a technical role with greater focus on estimating and planning. The most important thing for us is that you're comfortable reading and understanding technical drawings. You need to have a good understanding of materials, manufacturing, and what it takes to turn a drawing into a finished product. You're experienced working in Excel and comfortable working in various digital systems. We work in Jeeves, so if you have experience with Jeeves or another business system, that's a merit. Experience calculating jobs, preparing quotes, or working with estimates is also a plus. For the right person with the technical foundation and industry experience, there's an opportunity to learn the aspects of planning and estimating you haven't worked with before. As a person, you're thorough, structured, and solution-oriented. You enjoy diving into technical questions and understanding how things connect. You thrive collaborating and staying in contact with both production and customers and suppliers. You can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
