The Data Center team consists of IT technicians, a system manager, and Technical Architects. We are responsible for the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's server solutions, virtualization, and related systems. The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is undergoing rapid expansion and we need to plan for an environment that meets both today's and tomorrow's requirements. The team works together to ensure that the authority has modern, user-friendly, and secure solutions that facilitate daily operations. Job Description We are now seeking a new colleague for the server team who works with Linux. We are looking for you – a skilled and dedicated Linux technician with ambition to develop yourself to support and maintain our servers and related support systems. As a Technical Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring that the server environment functions correctly and efficiently for our users. You will work closely with other team members and external partners to solve technical problems and implement system improvements. Qualifications We are looking for someone who plans, organizes, and prioritizes work based on complex issues. You find approaches and solutions efficiently that lead to achieving set goals. We are looking for someone who has: Academic education preferably in systems science, computer science, or alternatively other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant Several years of experience working with Linux server administration, installation, configuration, and maintenance Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting on software and hardware for servers Experience with central configuration management and version control systems for Linux Experience with container solutions Experience working with security-related issues Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation Basic knowledge of networking and communication technology: TCP/IP, DNS, and firewalls Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English It is also advantageous to have: Education in specific/limited IT infrastructure areas, for example product certifications applicable to the position Certifications in Linux Experience from Enterprise IT environments Experience with process-driven work (ITIL) Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to remove the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions relevant to the position.
