In this newly established, business area-wide role, you will play a key role in strengthening collaboration and technical development within the Construction Business Area. About the role: As Technical Development Manager, you are responsible for creating conditions for learning, collaboration, and technical development throughout the Construction Business Area. You lead a team of specialists and work through collaboration with Peab Teknik, research initiatives, SBUF, and industry forums to translate new knowledge into concrete benefits in our projects and working methods. An important part of the assignment is to collaborate with regional support, project organizations, and specialists to ensure that experiences, successes, and lessons learned from one project benefit the entire operation. By developing our offering, increasing quality, and capturing innovation and experience, you contribute to more sustainable, efficient, and competitive construction. Areas of responsibility: Lead and develop the business area's technical development work Translate experiences, requirements, regulations, and industry development into standardized solutions and technical guidelines Lead, coach, and develop a team of specialists Coordinate the business area's work in research, development, and innovation, including collaboration with internal and external networks and industry forums Provide strategic support to the operation on technical and development issues Your future manager Annika: "I believe in a coaching and inclusive leadership style where clarity, accountability, and development are central. You have experience as a leader within the construction or civil engineering sector and combine strong technical understanding with a genuine interest in developing people, operations, and working methods. You see the bigger picture and understand how technical decisions affect quality, business, and long-term competitiveness. Through others, you translate ideas, knowledge, and experiences into concrete results. To succeed in the role, we see that you have: Relevant university education in construction, engineering, or equivalent Experience from qualified technical roles in, for example, design, construction, design management, or production from the construction or civil engineering sector Experience leading and developing employees, teams, or specialist functions Experience in change management, development, or improvement work Good understanding of the construction process, technical solutions, and industry development Meritorious experience includes research and development, standardization, innovation, digitalization, or work in industry forums such as SBUF.
