The Highlands Association is a municipal federation formed by Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. These five municipalities in the Småland highlands value collaboration and know that we become stronger together. By combining our strengths and resources, we can increase expertise, better utilize resources, raise quality, and provide residents with better service. With us today there are a number of different operations working for the benefit of the entire Highlands.
Within the Highlands Association there is also Highlands Educational Collaboration, which today consists of Highlands Upper Secondary School with schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö, and Vetlanda. In total, we are approximately 550 employees working to ensure that our approximately 3,000 students receive high-quality education that prepares them for the future in working life or in continued studies. In summer 2026, Highlands Adult Education will also join, which will be located in Sävsjö, Eksjö, and Nässjö.

Your New Job
We are looking for a teacher who can teach technology courses such as Technology 1, Technology 2, Automated Processes, Computer and Communication Technology, and Product Development. You will be part of the teaching team that belongs to the technology program.
As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and following up on teaching according to the applicable curriculum. You adapt teaching to students' individual needs and conditions, and work actively to create an inclusive and motivating learning environment.
About You
We are looking for someone who has teacher certification in the subject of technology. It is a merit if you have experience teaching Computer and Communication Technology and Automated Processes (mechatronics). We would like to see that you also have worked with 3D technology. If you have a different educational background that is relevant for teaching these subjects and have experience teaching, you are welcome to apply.
As a person, you have an easy way of building trusting relationships and you lead, motivate, and create engagement and participation among students, both individually and in classroom situations. You have a good understanding that students have different ways of learning and are able to adapt your teaching based on different students' conditions. You take responsibility for your teaching and collaborate with your colleagues, both within subject teams, work teams, and student support teams, to together develop both teaching and programs. You are flexible and see possibilities in change.

To ensure that all new employees in our teaching positions have the correct qualifications, we ask you to attach a valid teacher certification obtained from the National School Board that is not older than two months.
As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement in accordance with the Education Act that you present an extract from the police record for work in schools. You request this register extract on the police website.
If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove your citizenship. You do this by presenting a valid passport or a personal certificate together with a valid ID document. A personal certificate is ordered from the Swedish Tax Agency under My Pages. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland, you must also be able to present a valid residence and/or work permit to work in Sweden. Employment can only take place after the work permit has been verified, in accordance with the Aliens Ordinance.
