Your future with us Over the years, Avalon has had the privilege of collaborating with a wide range of companies and industries, from MedTech and Heavy Industry to Food Industry, Consumer Products and Retail, to name a few. You'll become our expert in technical documentation and CE marking, based in southern Sweden. You'll work from one of our offices in Helsingborg or Malmö. We have an established client base of machine builders and instrument manufacturers who return to us year after year. You'll step into a role that one of our most experienced colleagues has built over many years. You'll have plenty of time to first work alongside them and then take over responsibilities, at a pace that suits both you and us. Your role as an expert in technical documentation and CE marking You will own the entire documentation process, from analysis and information structure to writing, illustration and final delivery. This includes, among other things: Manuals, quick guides, service instructions and spare parts information for machines, cells and complete production lines Information design: manual structure, templates and content reuse Technical illustration, from CAD basis to finished image Management of translations into many languages You are also responsible for CE marking: Risk analysis and risk assessment of machines, robot cells, lines and equipment Verify which directives are affected and whether they are complied with CE marking and compilation of technical file against the Machinery Directive, and against the EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 when it comes into application as well as all other applicable directives Coordination during third-party assessments such as type approvals for EMC, LVD, UL, UKCA etc. Support and training to the customer's designers and procurement staff on what the requirements actually mean You work closely with our designers, project managers and customers' own teams, and you're often the one asking the question no one else has asked. Specific knowledge: You have solid experience in technical documentation for machines or industrial equipment You have practical experience with risk analysis and CE marking according to the Machinery Directive, and understand what the transition to the Machinery Regulation entails You master the tools for producing information, such as Adobe InDesign, FrameMaker, Illustrator, MadCap Flare, Cedoc or Creo Illustrate. You have a technical foundation education, preferably in mechanical engineering, and can read a design Other knowledge and personal qualities you are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written you have an eye for form and structure, you care about how the information looks, not just what it says you love solving problems and want to constantly learn new exciting things Our culture Our company culture is among the most important things we have.
