The Fire and Rescue Service seeks an engaged technician who wants to work in an operation where no two days are the same. With us, you will have a varied and developmental role where technology, service, training, and safety go hand in hand.
As part of the fire and rescue service in a smaller municipality, you will have the opportunity to work broadly and contribute to multiple aspects of the operation. You will be an important resource both in daily work and in our long-term development.
Job Responsibilities
In the role of technician, you are responsible for ensuring that our vehicles, machinery, and equipment are maintained at a high standard and are always ready to be used when needed. You will work on, among other things:
Basic maintenance and monitoring of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
Planning and scheduling inspections, service, and repairs.
Handling insurance matters and disposal/procurement of vehicles and equipment.
Administration and documentation related to the operation.
Information, training, and support to employees and the public.
The position also includes tasks within the fire and rescue service's accident prevention activities, such as information, advice, and training initiatives. You may also participate in tasks related to the operational fire and rescue service based on the operation's needs and your qualifications.
Qualifications
Requirements
Class C driver's license.
Good computer skills and knowledge of Office 365 or equivalent digital tools.
Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to communicate clearly and adapt your message to different target audiences, such as the public, businesses, and authorities.
Good ability to plan and organize your work and work independently.
Merits
Class BE and B96 driver's licenses.
Training or experience from the fire and rescue service.
Other training or competencies relevant to the operation.
Local roots and good knowledge of the municipality.

Other Information
Employment with the Fire and Rescue Service may involve placement in a security class. A security vetting with record check in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. Upon employment, you will also be registered for civil emergency duty within the Fire and Rescue Service in Storuman. Grades and certificates do not need to be attached to your application but should be brought to any interview.
