We are now seeking an engaged technician for a temporary position through December 31, 2026. About Us The Assistive Technology Center is a regional operation within Region Sörmland that offers the region and its municipalities a complete assistive technology service for people with functional variations. We are responsible for ensuring that residents in the region have access to safe and well-functioning assistive devices throughout their entire period of use. We are approximately 80 employees distributed across four departments: administration, assistive technology, logistics, and consultants. Together, we work every day to create an efficient, accessible, and high-quality assistive technology service. You will find a workplace characterized by collaboration, commitment, and respect. Your Tasks As a technician with us, you will have varied and independent work with significant personal responsibility. You will work both in our facilities and at clients' homes, hospitals, and special residences throughout the region. Your main tasks will be to: • Perform preventive maintenance and inspections of ceiling lifts and floor lifts. • Troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish electric wheelchairs, drive units, beds, personal lifts, and other assistive devices. • Install, adapt, and maintain assistive devices in clients' home environments. • Provide technical advice and information to prescribers, clients, and care personnel. • Document completed work in our business system Sesam. • Contribute technical expertise to product assortment groups and procurement processes. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who enjoys combining technology and service. You are responsible, solution-oriented, and able to plan and carry out your work independently. Since you will interact with both clients and various professional groups in your work, it is important that you are communicative, attentive, and have an ability to build trusting relationships. You also have a good understanding of people's different conditions and needs. We place great importance on personal suitability. Qualifications Requirements • Basic electrical and telecommunications training or other equivalent technical education. • Good computer skills. • Driver's license category B. • Good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written. • Basic knowledge of English, as service manuals and technical documentation may be in English. Meritorious • Experience working with medical assistive technology devices. • Experience with service, installation, or maintenance work in technical fields. • Knowledge of additional languages.
