Electrician / Mechanic / Technician – Locomotive Maintenance

Due to increased maintenance activity on railway equipment, we are now seeking several skilled trades workers for our workshop in Malmö. With us, you will work on maintenance and repair of both electric and diesel-powered locomotives, from classic models to modern technology.

About the Role
As an electrician, mechanic, or technician with us, you will work on planned and corrective maintenance of locomotives. The work involves troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
You will work with locomotive types including: EL14, EL16, BR185.2, and BR187, which offers a unique combination of older and new technology.
Working Hours
Monday–Friday 07:00–15:00
Work beyond these hours may occur
Possibility of alternative arrangements, such as a 4-day work week
Start Date: As soon as possible – candidates evaluated on a rolling basis
Your Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance (kilometer and calendar-based)
Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on locomotives
Record work, material consumption, and hours in our order management system
Plan and coordinate work tasks in collaboration with your direct supervisor
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a technical background and interest in complex technical systems.
Desired Qualifications:
Trades certificate in relevant areas, for example:
Mechanic (heavy vehicles and/or marine)
Electrician (trains, subway, streetcar, automobile, or equivalent)
Aircraft technician
Relevant experience can compensate for missing formal education
Good technical understanding and interest in technical development
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good knowledge of Swedish, both verbal and written
Good systems understanding and general computer skills
B-class driver's license is a plus
