Stockholm Exergi is the energy company for Stockholm's residents, and we are approximately 850 employees working every day to reduce Stockholm's climate impact. We heat over 800,000 Stockholm residents, and our 300-mile-long district heating network is the hub for the public benefits we create. We have now begun construction of a carbon dioxide capture facility at our bioenergy plant in Värtan, with the potential to capture 800,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year—more than what Stockholm's road traffic emits during the same period. As a mechanical technician at Stockholm Exergi, you will work with preventive and corrective maintenance through our workshops. We are a team that performs work on all types of mechanics at our process facilities, for example: repairing heat pumps, valves, and conveyors of both older and newer models. Rounds are also part of the work, and part of the job also involves managing and reporting work orders in our business system. There are opportunities for specialization in areas such as tribology and vibration measurement, where your interest combined with our needs provides us unique opportunities—with increased competence and knowledge, you help not only yourself but also colleagues and the company move forward. The position includes on-call weeks, which currently operate on a rotating six-week schedule. Being on call means an obligation to be available, combined with requirements for response time at the workplace. At combined heat and power plants, there is full operations year-round, but especially during the peak season (cold) and during annual maintenance shutdowns, which typically occur between May and September. This requires careful vacation planning, which we want to be clear about from the start.
