Ground Workshop Enköping is a section within Ground Workshop Uppland, which is one of eight departments within the Ground Workshop Unit (MvE) and belongs to the Army Staff. Mv Uppland currently has approximately 55 employees and operates in Enköping and Uppsala.
The Ground Workshop performs maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment and provides technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of supervision, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scrapping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and equipment inspection.
Main duties
As a technician in the Ground Workshop's Field Telecommunications section, you will perform function tests, troubleshooting, and repairs on the Swedish Armed Forces' communications equipment. Work tasks include maintenance of soldier-worn, cab-mounted, and vehicle-mounted telecommunications, radio and command systems used in our ground units. Several tasks (both troubleshooting and repair) take place in our telecommunications workshop. However, there are also tasks and assignments at our units' locations or elsewhere under simple field conditions.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
· We're looking for someone with at least a completed two- or three-year upper secondary education with a focus on electrical/telecommunications/technical subjects, or equivalent competence acquired through professional experience as assessed by the employer
· Good knowledge of Swedish and English
· Good computer skills
· Category B driving license

Meritorious
· Good knowledge of telecommunications/radio communications and data technology/data communications with the ability to independently troubleshoot/repair these types of systems.
· Experience with preventive and remedial maintenance of the Swedish Armed Forces' telecommunications/radio/command systems
· Documented experience in computer and network configuration/troubleshooting.
· Category C driving license
· Military driving certificate
· Previous experience with fiber installations and networks.
· Experience in electromechanics
