As Technical Manager, you will have a central role in the planning, design, and implementation of road, land, and street projects. You will lead the technical team and ensure that our projects meet the highest technical standards while being delivered according to client requirements and expectations. Assignments vary from smaller local projects to more complex projects running over several years. You are responsible for the technical area's budget, schedule, and quality.
You have good knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D or Novapoint and are well familiar with AMA.
As part of our team, you will actively participate in the design and planning of land, street, road, and other infrastructure facilities. You will also work closely with other disciplines and stakeholders to create integrated and sustainable solutions that meet project needs. Your role includes monitoring and evaluating technical execution during project implementation to ensure everything progresses according to plan and quality is maintained.
Additionally, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients and partners, which is central to driving projects forward. Your drive and commitment within AFRY's network for land, street, and road projects will be an important part of your role and contribute to both your and the team's success.
You will be based at one of our offices in Luleå or Piteå.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a secondary school, university, or civil engineering degree with a focus on civil engineering, or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of experience in design and technical management of land, street, and road projects. You have documented experience leading and developing technical teams. You have good knowledge in economics and business management and experience managing budgets and resources with strong financial insight.
Furthermore, you have relevant knowledge of legislation, standards, and technical guidelines governing these areas to ensure projects comply with applicable regulations and maintain the highest possible quality.
Language skills are also important, and you need good knowledge of both Swedish and English to communicate with both national and international parties.
It is a merit if you have previous experience with sourcing. We would also like to see that you have experience working with sustainability issues, as this is an important part of achieving long-term success.
As a person, you are skilled at creating engagement and cooperation within a team and are adept at directing work toward set goals. You have strong communication skills and can clearly convey information to different stakeholders. Your ability to collaborate with other disciplines and external parties ensures that projects are executed smoothly and efficiently, with integrated and sustainable solutions as a result.
