About Nitro Consult Nitro Consult is a specialist consulting firm in civil engineering with roots from Alfred Nobel and a long history of creating safe and sustainable solutions, particularly within: Rock engineering, blasting technology, acoustics, and environmental impact. The company currently consists of approximately 60 consultants throughout Sweden, with the Stockholm office being the largest with around 40 employees. Here, specialist expertise and major infrastructure projects are combined with a family-like culture, short decision-making paths, and significant individual responsibility. About the Role As technical lead, you will work on large infrastructure and tunnel projects where you lead and coordinate the design within rock engineering. You are responsible for rock engineering issues in the projects and ensure that requirements, dimensioning, and solutions are coherent throughout the entire design phase. The work spans different stages, from early investigations to detailed design, where you are involved in rock mechanical assessments, method selection, and development of technical documentation. You play an important role in the technical work and collaborate closely with engineers and other technical disciplines to develop functioning and feasible solutions in complex environments. The role includes, among other things: Lead and coordinate design work Support and lead engineers in daily work Take responsibility for technical solutions and requirement management Ensure that documents and materials maintain high technical quality You'll experience significant variety in your daily work, close collaboration, and the opportunity to take considerable personal responsibility. We Believe You Are an experienced and independent consultant in rock engineering who thrives in roles where you take clear technical responsibility in complex assignments. You have worked several years in infrastructure and civil engineering projects and are accustomed to driving technical issues, from analysis and technical assessments to solution development and documentation. You feel confident taking responsibility for technical aspects and ensure that work is coherent from early stages through to completed design. To succeed in this role, we would like you to have: At least 8 years of experience in rock engineering design Several years of experience as technical lead in rock engineering within infrastructure projects involving complex tunnel construction Relevant university or civil engineering degree Very good Swedish and English in speech and writing It is advantageous if you have experience from tunnel projects or larger infrastructure projects. You have natural leadership qualities and enjoy coordinating work between different disciplines while ensuring high technical quality.
