Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies offers a full-time position for the Head of Technical Support Department/Energy Specialist, for an indefinite period.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and manage the work of the Technical Support Department.
Ensure, monitor, and plan the continuity of energy resources supply to LBTU facilities in accordance with regulatory requirements and LBTU internal procedures, and organize emergency response and damage prevention.
Monitor energy resource consumption, control compliance with energy efficiency requirements, plan measures and implement rational use of energy consumption.
Organize continuous operation of LBTU energy systems (electricity, heating and ventilation, heat recovery, cooling, exhaust systems, water supply and sewage systems), perform daily and emergency inspections, technical maintenance and necessary repairs.
Organize timely electrical network resistance measurements at LBTU facilities.
Prepare technical specifications or work assignments for public procurement announcements in the field of materials and energy supply.
Coordinate public procurement contracts necessary for LBTU energy system infrastructure and monitor their execution.
Within the scope of competence, participate in construction project design, construction and repair contract execution, ensuring representation of LBTU interests and controlling compliance with contractual obligations.
Prepare and submit timely statistical reports on energy resources, air and water pollution, waste and natural resource tax.
Monitor compliance with occupational safety and fire safety measures, conduct occupational safety and fire safety training in the workplace for subordinate employees.
Requirements for Candidates:
Professional bachelor's or master's degree in energy/energy systems engineering qualification;
Good skills in information and communication technology;
Analytical thinking, ability to respond quickly;
Good cooperation and organizational skills;
Accuracy and high sense of responsibility;
Ability to work in a team and independently, set priorities and plan daily work;
Driver's license category B, preferably C.
